Pink Himalayan salt is chemically alike to table salt. It holds up to 98 percent sodium chloride. The remainder of the salt consists of minimum minerals, such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium. That’s why the salt has a light pink tint. Besides, these minerals are the reason why Himalayan salt has a different taste from regular table salt.
How is it used?
People use this kind of salt and ordinary table salt in the same way: To cook, season meals, and preserve food. Blocks of pink salt used as cooking surfaces and cutting boards. Also, use superfine Pink Himalayan salt to make bath salts, and I’m sure you’ve seen lamps and candleholders made of pink salt.
